Hope is often found in pots of Rainbows.

I will have to say I absolutely love rainbows. To me they are absolutely amazing add in the fact that God made a promise never to flood the earth again. I love watching them. They symbolize hope.
I love writing, Sandra Byrd is an author that my daughter loves. I sent her some of my stories and she replied that she liked my writing and encouraged me to send out my stories again. So after three years of not sending my stories out, my daughter and I rehashed one and edited another. I emailed them to Andrea Brown literary agency. I had sent some stories to Kelly Sonnack three years ago and now to her I send them again with the hopes that my rainbow will truly happen. So now we will see. I have applied for so many jobs. In truth though I have been so blessed in my part time cashier job. I have often prayed with hurting people, smiled and laughed with others and hopefully encouraged people along the way. I guess you could say I took customer service to a new level. I love asking questions but I was always to shy when I was younger. My ex husband would laugh at me when I went to the dentist I would ask the dentist how many children they had and information about their lives someone would think I was nosy I thought it made life more colorful.
I hope some day someone will read my writing and give me the chance to do this every day. Because I love writing I love reaching out to people, this is where you will find who I am in the pages of my blog or the manuscripts that I have written.
For now I thank God that my cashier job has taught me to see beyond me and see how reaching out to others is truly amazing.
So please read my other my blog and post if you enjoy my writing or if you are in the writing industry please leave a message. I truly appreciate all who take the time to read my blogs.

What amazing rainbow will come your way?
Where will that rainbow find you is it in painting a picture or is it in helping a person across the road whatever it is I know for one thing we all have a rainbow it's just a matter of us finding it.

Hope is taking one step at a time.

Have you ever watched a baby learn to walk they titter totter all over the place. This week I started reading the Bible more. One step at a time makes all the difference it changes us and gives us hope. I am not a brilliant cook but I love making cakes and deserts each try is a win because I am not giving up. I took my GED in the states and each class past was a victory. Taking one step at a time makes life seam less overwhelming and more easier to face.
So today just take one step and see where it might lead you.

Cradled in God's arms.

Have you ever watched a new mum cradle her child. There is something special in that moment that a child comes into the world and you hold them tight. As they grow older we cradle them in our hearts forever.
I truly believe God is like this, that He cradles us in His arms and holds us tight to his heart.
Whatever you are going through. I suggest you close your eyes and embrace those warm arms of love surrounding you ever holding you tight.
Just know that God loves you always.

Stress where does your strength come from?

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 3:14 NIV

I copied this scripture today to make us all think. Yesterday I ate some spaghetti that had been in my fridge for nearly two weeks. Bad move I am feeling very sick today. My daughter is seeing relatives that she has not seen in nearly five years the stress is immense, we cannot make people be a certain away and that often hurts our core. When I was going through my brothers death and also the struggles in my marriage stress paid it's toll. I got colds faster, I felt at times tired and sick. The thing is our bodies can only process so much. I am convinced that stress shortens a person life, that our immune system starts to break down and our brains function is often not up to par it is a little slower at times. I think some people just give up and turn to their illness or depression as an escape. The stress on single parents is huge everything falls on them. The stress of life can be huge in itself. Elderly people can experience this trying to juggle little income, or families trying to look after relatives. You name it from corporate worlds to being single stress is there.
I think in life you have to regroup and work out what is important and who can support you.
Life will always have stress it is in finding a new hope and allowing good to shine through the darkest hours. My hope comes from the Lord we have no hope in ourselves and can easily get bogged down. The reality is we cannot do this alone.
Our strength lets us down. My mum loves the poem by Rudyard Kipling If, I think it is very true. It hits home on so many levels.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Above all the question has to be asked where does your strength come from?
My simple answer I try my best to say My strength comes from the Lord.

Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Little Red Box

Red Box can mean many things from a Red phone box in England to a storage unit that is called red box and then least we forget the red box rentals where you can rent a movie from, but to me red box has a huge special meaning. My younger daughter sang a song at preschool that I believe was called My little red box and it says.
I wished I had a little red box to put my mummy in.
I take her out and (they would blow kisses) and put her back in again.

I think many times through life we would love to put our special memories our loved ones, our hopes, dreams and even the wonderful people we have lost into that little red box. To keep them safe and just know that at any time that you can see them.
The amazing thing is when Jesus hung on the Cross he became our amazing Little red box.
His gift was the ultimate best gift.
I encourage you today to think of the many things, people, memories and hopes that you would put in a little red box and then reflect on how blessed you are.

Doing what is right pays off.

A young man called Ian went to a baseball game to watch his team play. The ball went into the crowds and a young man who caught it first and then dropped it was disappointed as Ian took the ball. However, not like some human beings, he did what he believed was right. Maybe some would say he was stupid, keep the ball and shut up. But Ian did what was right and handed the ball back to Nicholas. The broadcasters, Daron Sutton and Mark Grace, was pleasantly surprised. Their goal was to reward a young man. Indeed they did, he received a signed baseball bat, visited the broadcast booth with Nicolas and his friends, and was given tickets to the upcoming game.
Moral of this story, regardless if you receive anything, doing what's right God see's it all and one day the reward will be so amazing. It will be worth it all.
Let's hope more adults and children rise up to do what is right.
We all in that one moment have a choice to do what is right or not. Great job Ian.

Our reliance on the cable network.

Phones, computers and companies rely on the cable network. One glitch and phone lines, alarm systems and companies come to a stand still. Gone are the days when you could call from your house phone and talk directly to a person. One usually talks to a person in another country, state or you wonder at times if they are talking to someone from another planet. The truth is we are so reliant on this so called technology we feel we cannot survive if our internet is down. Truth is technology has taken over humans treating each other well. We no longer talk to people instead we email, we facebook or twitter. I dare you to write a letter oh the joy of reading letters from the Victorian era where poetical phrases flowed and people showed their love and concern in the time of Jane Eyre. Now we talk to automated phones, and a cable wire is our voice.
Lets try to appreciate those old letters of old and just one day talk to a person and show you truly care.

The fall of man.

Perhaps the biggest fall of man is, lying for sure and the lack of compassion. When my brother died there were some people who had truly no compassion at all. In truth maybe I had been one of them years ago. I try my best to treat people now, how I would want to be treated myself. Listening and offering hugs and kind words. Compassion means to have sympathy. It really goes beyond that walking a mile in someone else's shoes. Offering love and support. Compassion is rare but if you can cultivate it it can blossom and touch so many lives.
Trust me I was not a compassionate person about many things, but even I have changed so take a small step offer to call or help someone or just listen. The biggest person it will bless is you.
You do not have to be one of those who is in the fallen group rather one in the victorious group.

Being used by God when you least expect.

I use to work in a factory, long hours and hard work. However God really used this opportunity for me to reach out to others. I work as a cashier at the moment. I get to hear many a story of how people have lost their jobs, getting divorced or have lost a loved one. In these moments I get to encourage these people. My few words I hope touch their lives in some way. One man said to me today how outgoing and cheerful I was. Another said the other day "I am so glad you are here you are so nice."
In the big picture of life we never know how God can use us. Nor how we can change a person's day or life.
You may not like your job, but for that moment perhaps God has you there to reach out to another person.
You never know how your tenderness, your smile could lighten a person's life, or even change it.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Homeschooling

There are many families that have decided to homeschool due to many reasons. This is a tough choice, but with many schools having so many cut backs many families opt to do this.
There is a group called The Book Samaritan http://www.thebooksamaritan.com/ this non profit group offers help to many families who cannot afford books. If you are a family who needs help this year please go to their link and discover how this group could help you. Also if you have any school material and would like to donate it, please contact them it is tax deductible and would be a huge blessing to many families in need. The home school foundation has information that can help and also financial funding to help in some situations http://www.homeschoolfoundation.org/.
It is truly an act of much giving that families homeschool. So I encourage you in whatever way you can to help. Whether it is giving a mother a break from homeschooling or taking her children out. You can be that blessing.

Which honey pot will your words come from!!

Ever took some food out of the fridge and it looked oh so nice but then when you started eating it you realized it was spoiled.
In life people can be like this they say nice words to you when they are around others, but when confronted and asked if those were words were for the other peoples benefits or were they true. They are stumped they have been caught in a lie of being two faced saying one thing and doing another.
As human beings we must be as the Bible says, and this is in my words slow to anger and we must not lead others astray.
If you are saying things about a person so that you look good and feel good. You must think of your consequences how, will that person feel when they hear that you never meant a word of what you said. The damage is done.
Words are often like a broken record if they just tell lies, but words that our thought of and come from your heart are like honey from Winnie the Pooh's honey pot.
Which honey pot will your words come from!!
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Master pieces.

Open opportunities are often when we least expect. I had a lady come through my line the other day she was rather sad. She is a Christian and she has two cute little girls. As I talked to her I found out that she had, had some tragedy that past weekend. I told her how I had coped with my brothers death, always believing that I will see him again. As she left she turned "I am so thankful you were here today. I so was hoping that you would be here."
I remember working in a factory it was tough, I would imagine God coming to get me on a white horse and in truth I gave that job my all.
Today one of my dogs was sick and the vet lowered the price on my bill. See you never know when God is going to use an adverse situation.
My ex husband has been ministering to his Aunt who is very sick, who knows what impact that will have on her life. One thing is for sure, God sees it all.
A friend told me the other day Life is a canvas and as much as I love art I rarely view it as that. So it is true we get to draw something different each day some are master pieces like Constable and others are just left in the Masters hands to allow Him to make a Master piece of our lives.
So look out God might use the very situations you hate to make you into that amazing Constable picture.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Beware of the garage Doors.

I have a garage door that is operated by a remote and electronically goes up and down. On the weekend we went to open it. The wires flew apart to the side. We then released this part that should of allowed us to freely open the garage door. It went cascading to the ground with my daughter holding onto it. I am so thankful that she was alright. We stood speechless at our experience. Then after hearing horror stories from others, I have realized that God had his hand on her that day. There really should be a huge sign posted on the actual metal door explaining what will happen. I do think there is a small sign on the pull part but nothing on the door.
Please take note anyone who has a garage door please do not mess with it if you see those cables fly leave it alone.
God protected us that day. However if we had seen a sign on that door we would have never been put in such a vulnerable situation.
Counting your blessings I surely do mine.
Thank you God for being there with us.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Cindy Chang

Last night I watched America's got talent. This wonderful woman Cindy Chang was in Vegas singing to go onto the next round. The poor woman did not sing her best though I think amazingly for a woman who had dreamed so long to sing in front of an audience against what her parents had said. Sharon Osbourne told the poor woman you sung below par. The poor woman got off the stage was I that bad.
No Cindy was not that bad, look at all the ridiculous acts that made it through a man jumping into a paddling pool, people dancing on a pole and parrots that could not draw diddly squat. The reality is that Cindy was just nervous. We all do not live every day up to par so to speak. But God sees beyond that standard and sees a humble heart.
My hope for Cindy is that someone sees her amazing voice, her spirit and her Dream and believe me she will go beyond Par.

My Nephews

My nephew Troy turned seventeen today. He is going to join the British Army. This little boy who used to show me his toys and then as he got older played in a school band. He played the drums.
I cannot believe how fast life has gone. My sister's son turned eighteen in March. I remember him playing with this bouncing ball and him saving his pocket money up to buy my daughter a gift.
All I can say is cherish time, it slips through your fingers.
Both young men might never remember the gifts I sent them or the calls I made, but I truly hope one day that they will know and remember how much I loved them.
Take the time each day to just tell someone how much you care.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

God only wrote one book and look at how well He did.

I will have to say if anyone gave me a chance to have any jobs other than being a mum I would surely write. I love my blog and I love writing my stories. It is a little discouraging at times though as I rarely have time to send out my stories.
However look at J.K Rowling she was living on benefits yet today look at her. Look at the Beatles who played in night clubs and with in a few years well the rest is history.
God did write one book The Bible and it still stays the worlds best selling book.
At the end of the day it is a matter of keep on dreaming keep on going and keep on pushing forward.
I may not be J.K Rowling but I sure have one thing in common. I am a woman who has big dreams and loves writing.
So whatever your dreams are remember this.
God only wrote one book and Look at how well that has done.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Cysts of life.

I was diagnosed with cysts about wow I guess 5 years ago now. I was very sick I had so much pain going through my side the day I walked into the hospital. Well life has moved on and I have learnt how to deal with it. Cysts can be like trials in our lives, with medication mine cause me little pain, but then every now and again I am feeling very sick tired and aching.
To me trials and sometimes difficult people are like that. You think you have it down packed you have it under control, then sure enough life throws you a curve ball, a cyst so to speak and you just don't know what to do. You run from pillar to post trying to solve it yet at the end of it all. No not pixie dust is going to fix it this time. It is just running often to do good friends that will direct you to God again.
You pick yourself up brush yourself down and off you go again.
I don't like having cysts I think they are not a Royal pain but a big pain in the rear, but I am thankful that they are not worse, I am also thankful for the many people that guide me through the many cyst trials that come my way.
It is those people that make the pain that often comes in life just so much easier and for that I am thankful.
I so hope that in your life you can find a few good friends to help you.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Oblivious to the Truth.

Ever meet someone with the glass half full so speak. They are sarcastic always looking at faults of others and always twisting the truth. It is like they wear purple sunglasses every day. Not seeing the real beauty outside. It is everyone's fault other than their's and they seam almost afraid to admit that they may have a part to play in how their life has ended up. It is as thought a truck is coming towards them at a hundred miles per hour but they do not see it.
Many of these people even admit to be Christians quoting God's words right, left and center.
Reality the truth sets men and women free. In truth you feel hope, in hope their is no glass half full because it is as though someone has taken the key to all those chains and set you free.
I have little tolerance to people playing silly mind games. It leads to only a road of hurt, little do these people know though that they are really hurting themselves. As to keep up with so many lies just keeps them ensnared in a devils life.
In truth seeing the good in others, admitting your faults, loving when you find it hard to, brings true Truth and true happiness.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.

Susie Chang and Susan Boyle Dream Big at any age.

If you have ever thought that dreams could not come true then think again. Susan Boyle
sung on Britains got talent and wowed the crowds
Cindy Chang who appeared on Americas got talent. Stood just a housewife as she put it.
Both one thing in common no one thought for a moment as they stood there that they were going to amount to anything. But think again their voices were pure heavenly.
I have huge respect for those who dream Big.
Beatrix Potter was rejected and rejected yet has become one of the most famous writers of all time. She did not just write but went a step further and preserved a lot of her wonderful land the Lake District.
Sandra Byrd is an amazing author and woman although she was rejected like many writers she kept going. I recently had the privilege of writing to her and sending her one of my stories and this is what she replied "it's a long slog for everyone to get our writing out, but you can press through, I just know it! " " I do think you should pursue your writing, though."
"Your story about the pink daisies is absolutely lovely! Keep submitting it till it finds a publication home,"
A young friend emailed me this after reading my blog."I love your blog (: it's interesting and well written" See people in life often see in one dimension they see what someone looks like and do not see that wow that person has an amazing talent or has something amazing.
Look at some of the amazing artists Monet and Constable to name a few, amazing big dreamers.
It is not in what we see on the outside but seeing beyond and someone seeing that and believing in that.
I don't know but the many people above give me hope. I danced around my room when Sandra wrote to me. I love writing who knows where it will take me. But my biggest hope is that it gives hopes to others.
Don't stop dreaming. Keep believing you never know where it will take you. You are never to old or young to simply Dream Big.
Please have a cup of tea with me today.
